About this program

As Melbourne’s leading drama school, Stage School Australia has offered performing arts classes for children to pursue their interest in dance, acting and musical theatre for over 30 years.

Beginners on Stage is a 1.5 hour weekly arts program for 5-7 year olds, with a singing teacher, dance teacher and drama teacher, developing performing skills, creative play and social and personal development, in particular confidence.  There is the thrill of live performance with an on stage fully costumed production where song, dance and drama pieces are presented.  Auditions to join this program take place November and February each year.

Young Australian Broadway Chorus is a 2 hour mix of tuition and performance for 8-18 year olds (junior, intermediate and senior groups),with a professional music director, dance director and a drama director, improving ones technique, confidence and performances skill.  Talents learnt are showcased on stage in performances twice a year. Auditions to join this program take place in November and February each year.

Boys Dance Academy: Boys only dance lessons in jazz, tap and hip hop, plus strength and agility training, with classes taught by a specialist in each style.  Boys will feel right at home with like-minded peers who love dance, building fitness, healthy body awareness and confidence.  Come try a class on December 14th. Talent Agency Representation: With a fully structured program that allows progression over a lifetime, including progression to the Talent Agency to represent and secure work in the industry, Stage School Australia is focused on developing life long skills. Nurture essential life skills through the performing arts where you can build confidence, public speaking, clear communication and teamwork skills!
